The UBC Global Reporting Centre is pleased to offer the Global Supply Chain Reporting Fellowship, which will support an incoming master’s journalism student at the University of British Columbia’s Graduate School of Journalism, Writing, and Media.

UBC is a tier-one research university with expertise in global journalism, sustainability, forestry, fisheries, global economics, public policy and other related fields.

The one-year fellowship provides a $7,500 stipend for a master’s student with a demonstrated interest in investigating the externalities of global supply chains (eg, pollution, labour, corruption, climate impact). Applicants are expected to have either conducted research or reported stories related to global commerce. The successful applicant will have the opportunity to work with journalists in our Hidden Costs team, which includes Emmy- and Pulitzer-winning investigative reporters from The New York Times, Toronto Star, Associated Press, NBC News, CBC News, PBS Frontline and the Center for Investigative Reporting.

Specific application details and program information for 2023 will be posted here soon.
